Aviation fans got a treat on Saturday afternoon as the only remaining airworthy Lancaster bombers took to the skies over Bournemouth.
The two historic planes were due to fly out of Bournemouth Airport yesterday morning, but that flight was delayed.
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Lancaster and the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Lancaster, which has been touring with the BBMF this summer, took off at 4pm.
They returned at about 4.30pm and then flew off again at 5.40pm returning some time later, They were due to stay at Bournemouth Airport for the evening and are expected to leave at 1.30pm on Sunday.

The delay was caused by a technical fault.
The planes were due to fly together at the Bournemouth Air Festival but the Canadian craft broke down shortly before the display.
