MOTORISTS faced delays in Christchurch this afternoon following a two-vehicle crash on Fairmile Road.

A spokesman from Dorset Police said emergency services were called to the scene at around 3.30pm.

The collision, which involved a silver Peugeot 307 and red Audi, caused heavy traffic in the area.

A diversion was put in place via Portfield Road while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Police officers and paramedics were called to the scene.

The force spokesman said no-one is believed to have suffered serious injuries.
