POLICE officers are investigating after a 10-year-old boy was grabbed by the scruff of his neck in Sherborne.
During the incident, which happened at around 7pm on Friday, September 12 near a park in Bristol Road, the child was grabbed by an unknown man.
He was able to pull himself free and run home.
Detective Constable Tony O’Connell, of Western CID, said: “We are investigating what exactly happened.
“I would urge anyone with information about the incident to contact police.
“In particular, I am keen to talk to the owner of a black car that was seen nearby at the time as this motorist may have information that may help with my investigation.”
No arrests have been made.
