South West Trains have apologised over delays to work on Wareham railway station's footbridge.
The bridge is currently closed for refurbishment and will be reopened towards the end of November.
The company tweeted to update passengers, saying the refurbishment will take longer than expected.
"We're expecting it to be open by the end of November. Apologies."
Access is currently between the platforms via the level crossing.
People are advised to leave extra time for their journey to the station as the level crossing gates close approximately three minutes before the arrival of a train.
