A CRASH caused traffic misery on the A31 near Ringwood this afternoon.
A car ended up on its side in the central reservation area near Picket Post heading towards Southampton.
An ambulance, two paramedic cars and a police van were in attendance.
A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said that they were called at 2.31pm to the scene on the eastbound carriageway at Picket Hill.
He said that several vehicles had been involved in a crash, with one, a Nissan Qashqai, ending up on its side.
Both lanes were closed eastbound just after Picket Post services but were re-opened around 4.30pm.
There were reports of delays back to the A338 but traffic is now easing.
No serious injuries have been reported.
