A WOMAN who was taken to hospital following a three-car crash in Poole on Friday evening did not suffer any serious injuries, police have confirmed this morning.
The accident, which occurred in Herbert Avenue, Rossmore, at around 6.15pm, left the road closed in both directions between the Turbary Road junction and the Goods Road junction.
A Dorset Police spokesman explained that a white Mazda car collided with the rear of a black Mitsubishi, which then collided with the rear of a Mercedes vehicle.
The 60-year-old Poole woman, who was driving the Mazda, was removed from her car by Dorset Fire and Rescue Service firefighters using hydraulic cutting equipment.
Police say the other people involved were treated for minor injuries by paramedics at the scene.
Witnesses are urged to contact PC 2091 Rhys Griffiths at Poole Traffic Police via the non-emergency number 101.
