A MAJOR Dorset road was closed this afternoon after a lorry crashed.
Police were on the scene at the A350 between Blandford and Shaftesbury.
A difficult recovery process was completed in the late afternoon to remove the lorry, which ended up off the road in a ditch.
Police said that the location was just south of Iwerne Courtney and traffic had to divert via the A357.
The crash happened at 8.50am and police shut the road at 11.30am to begin recovery.
It remained closed until late afternoon. Nobody was injured in the crash.
