TWO Bournemouth-based English language schools have been raided by would-be thieves in the last two weeks, police have warned.
MLS International College in Hinton Road was broken into sometime between midnight and 12.25am on Monday (MAR23).
And a break-in at Kings School of English in Braidley Road was reported to officers at 7.30am yesterday (THURS) morning.
In each case, nothing was stolen, and it is thought the offenders were deterred by alarms.
A third break-in in the area also took place at Venator Recruitment in Wilson House sometime between 8pm on Tuesday, March 17 and 8am the following day.
Again, nothing was stolen.
Using the Dorset Alert System, PCSO Nick Hector said: "Over the last 10 days there have been three burglaries to commercial properties in Bournemouth town centre reported to police.
"Two of these breaks were to schools within the town centre - however nothing is believed to have been taken. Entry was gained by insecure windows and the offender appears to have left when the alarm has sounded.
"Dorset Police would like to remind all businesses and residents to make sure that all windows, especially ground floor windows are secure overnight and when nobody is in the building."
Anyone with information is asked to call 101.
