A NORTH Dorset district councillor was found dead at his home in Winterborne Zelston on Tuesday this week, March 24.
Cllr Richard Moyle represented the Riversdale Ward of North Dorset District Council, and had been a member of the authority since 1999, holding many positions of responsibility including a cabinet post from 2004 to 2010.
A district council spokesman said: "He was a familiar figure at Nordon, the offices of North Dorset District Council, and will be sadly missed."
His death comes just days after that of fellow district councillor Tony Harrocks, who died suddenly on Friday, March 13.
Cllr Harrocks was well regarded in his community for his tireless volunteer work, helping out at schools and in the organisation of civic events.
The Riversdale Ward, like all those in North Dorset, is scheduled for election in May.
