THE family of a woman who disappeared from a cross-channel ferry three years ago remain determined to find out exactly what happened to her.
Her family, who made a renewed appeal for information, have also directly appealed to Sarah. They said: “We miss you so much and just want to know you are OK. Please contact us or the charity Missing People at any time.”
Sarah’s disappearance prompted a major international search operation, involving the coastguard helicopter, RNLI lifeboats from Weymouth and other search aircraft from the Channel Islands.
A French lifeboat from Normandy, a military helicopter from Cherbourg and several small fishing vessels also took part in the search – nothing was found.
Appeals were made in the Daily Echo in the days following Sarah’s disappearance, urging anyone who was on the ferry at the time to come forward with information.
However, Sarah, of Bristol, still remains missing and her family and friends are desperate to find out what happened that afternoon.
A family statement read: “It has been three years since Sarah disappeared and we all miss her greatly.
“If anyone has any information about what happened that afternoon or Sarah’s whereabouts, please call Dorset Police.”
Detective Constable Rachel Skinner, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have been on the Condor Rapide on Sunday, April 1, 2012, and did not speak to police at the time, to please make contact.
“All calls will be treated in strict confidence.”
