POLICE have arrested a man following a daylight bank robbery in New Milton on Thursday.
The incident, in which a "significant amount" of cash was stolen according to officers, took place at around 3.20pm at Lloyds Bank in Station Road.
The offender was said to have wrapped his head in bandages to avoid detection.
A spokesman for Hampshire Police said a 56-year-old man from New Milton has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remains in police custody.
