Twelve crews of firefighters spent more than 16 hours tackling a blaze at Somerley Household Waste Recycling Centre near Ringwood at the weekend.
It broke out just before 8pm on Friday and this morning Hampshire Fire and Rescue still had four pumps and two water carriers at the site in Verwood Road.
They are dealing with 300-400 tones of burning household waste.
