POOLE-based Fitness First has revealed details of an invitation-only health club concept aimed at business executives.

Gravity will have a joining fee of around £1,500 and membership will cost £300 a month.

The first Gravity club will be launched in Singapore in July, with ambitions to bring another to London later.

The £4.7m club will be at the top of the new CapitaGreen Tower in the Singapore Central Business District, with views of Marina Bay.

Members will have one-to-one sessions and physiological analysis, with an outdoor deck for a variety of workouts. There will also be an outdoor pool, a spa and a 6,500sqft restaurant to open in October.

The development is the latest phase of chief executive Andrew Cosslett’s move to take the brand upmarket and diversity.

A digital healthcare app has been created to help members track their progress and schedule appointments for health treatments.

Simon Flint, CEO of Fitness First Asia, said: “Conceived with the needs of business executives and individuals of discerning taste in mind, Gravity is a new category of health club that aims to enable these busy executives to embrace the luxury of health and wellness.

“Gravity will set new standards in fitness management in Asia and serve as a hub for innovation leading the evolution of new products and services across the Fitness First Group.”

Fitness First was founded with the opening of its first gym in Bournemouth in 1993.
