TWO men have been arrested in connection with an alleged burglary in Poole.

A Poole woman, aged in her 70s, was tied up by raiders in her home in Egmont Road on Monday, May 4, while they ransacked the property, stealing cash and jewellery.

She was uninjured but left shaken by the ordeal.

A 31-year-old man from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and released on police bail until mid-June, pending further enquiries.

A 53-year-old man from Bournemouth has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary and released on police bail until mid-July pending further enquiries.
