THE Daily Echo is celebrating after its website recorded more than a million unique browsers for the third time this year.

We registered 1,029,315 unique browsers to bournemouthecho.co.uk last month and also become the most-viewed site of any Newsquest paper, recording 9.45m page impressions.

The impressive figure comes after the Daily Echo rolled out a new look for the website in June.

The first time we topped the million mark was in January, then you helped us do it all over again in May.

More than 614,000 unique browsers came from mobile and tablet devices.

The most popular story read by you was on the driving licence changes, which recorded more than 122,000 views. It was also the most-viewed story from Twitter and Facebook and got picked up across the Newsquest network and shared by a number of titles within the group.

Other stories you enjoyed reading included David Beckham being spotted in the county and pictures of the Northern Lights as seen from Dorset.

Prom season helped the Daily Echo break a new record. Our pictures of students dressed up in their finest outfits on prom night had more than 639,000 views – up 1,161 per cent on last year. Lytchett Minster School Year 11 prom was the most popular, recording 100,000 views alone.
