POLICE are still searching for a man whose personal possessions were found at the coast after he went missing.

Lee Ford's mobile phone and other items were found near the Fisherman's Walk zigzag and officers said they are "increasingly concerned" for his welfare.

The items were found at 7.30am on Thursday July 23 and he was reported missing the following day. The last contact with him was on Wednesday July 22 when he sent a text message to a friend.

Mr Ford, 43, who lives in Southbourne, is described as 5ft 3ins tall, of slim build and with close-shaven hair, receding on the top.

He often wears a red jacket, khaki trousers and black army boots and anyone with information is asked to call Dorset Police on 101, quoting incident number 24:168.
