IMAGES of four suspects have been released by police after a burglary at a supermarket.

Police said that it happened at around 1.05am on Wednesday, September 30, at the Waitrose in Chantry Fields, Gillingham.

Dorset Police said that four people forced their way into the store and attempted to break into the cigarette counter, only to find it empty.

They then removed a small number of items from the store before exiting and leaving in a vehicle toward Le Neubourg Way, a spokesman for the force said.

PC Simon Rogers, of North Dorset police, said: “I am releasing CCTV images in the hope that someone may recognise the suspects by the clothes they were wearing or their build or stance.

“I would also appeal to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to contact me on 101.

“All calls will be treated in strict confidence.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting occurrence number 55150081337.
