Hundreds of Virgin Media customers across Bournemouth and Poole were left without broadband or tv services this morning because of a fault.
The company said it was dealing with a fault that it expected to fix by lunchtime, but many customers said their service had been restored by 9.30am.
A Virgin Media spokesperson said: “We apologise to customers who experienced a loss of service in the Poole/Bournemouth area this morning.
"Our engineers treated this with the highest priority and were able to restore full connectivity within two hours.
"It was caused by a loss of power in Poole and it affected around 70,000 people in the area."
