A CYCLIST was knocked unconscious during a hit-and-run crash in West Moors on Thursday.
The 52-year-old woman also suffered cuts and bruising to her head and face during the collision in Farm Road, some time between 1.30-2.30pm.
Dorset Police said that a blue vehicle, possibly with pink wheels, clipped the bicycle's handlebars, causing the local woman to fall on the ground.
A police spokesman confirmed: "The female was knocked unconscious for a short while and also received bruising and cuts to her face and head."
She was taken to Poole Hospital, where she received treatment for her injuries.
"Police are appealing for any witness to the incident or information leading to the identity of the vehicle or driver, to come forward," said the police spokesman.
