TRAVELLERS have arrived at a site in Poole.
The group turned up at Creekmoor Park and Ride this morning, with one telling the Daily Echo: “We are not moving.”
A Dorset Police spokesperson said the force received a report at 9.20am of travellers arriving at the park and ride.
The spokesperson said officers attended, but that the council is taking the lead on the situation.
A Poole council spokesperson said: "We have visited the site this morning and we are liaising with police to determine the appropriate action to take."
It comes after the Dorset Horse Fair, scheduled to take place this weekend on privately owned land off Ling Road, was cancelled following talks with Dorset Police and Poole council.
The event had been expected to attract up to 5,000 people.
As reported in the Echo it is understood that a number of people may turn up anyway.
