A WOMAN in her 60s was robbed as she walked in a park on Wednesday.
Police are hunting for the man responsible for the theft, which took place in Pelhams Park, Kinson, at around 7pm.
The victim was walking across the park when she was approached from behind by an unknown man.
He pushed the woman and snatched her sports bag from her before running toward Weymans Drive.
The offender is described as around six feet tall and of average build. He was wearing a dark-coloured puffer jacket with the hood up.
Detective Constable Ben Griffin, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This was a cowardly act and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw a man, matching the offender’s description, behaving suspiciously to come forward.
“All calls will be treated in strict confidence.”
