Football fans heading to Dean Court for today's AFC Bournemouth v Everton game are advised to get there early.
There will be extra security checks at Vitality Stadium, with searches taking place at the turnstiles.
A statement from the club said: "To speed up the process, supporters are asked to avoid bringing bags where possible.
"Whilst there is no specific reason for alarm, supporters are also asked to remain alert and report any concerns to the nearest steward or member of staff."
General manager Liz Finney said, "The stadium will be operating as normal and spectator safety will remain the top priority as is the case for every match at Vitality Stadium.
"All we ask is that supporters arrive a little earlier on matchday to help satisfy all safety checks in good time."
There is also ongoing restrictions on the A338 Spur Road, as part of the ongoing rebuilding project.
