A NEW live TV entertainment show aimed at showcasing emerging talent will be filmed every month at Canvas, Bournemouth's new lounge and cocktail bar, starting from Thursday night.

Produced in conjunction with multimedia entertainment company, Britrox, it is hoped the one hour programme will provide a launchpad for new and unsigned bands.

The first live show of Britrox Presents - Live at Canvas will feature artists Burning Codes, which is the project of Belfast artist Paul Archer.

The singer and songwriter has contributed vocals to five tracks on Snow Patrol’s Eyes Open, and has appeared on three of the bands UK tours.

Presented by BBC3's Southside Story star, Jodie Lea, the show is a great opportunity for music fans to witness the talents of undiscovered bands live on TV.

Founder and creator of Britrox, Paul Wookey, told the Echo: “Canvas is a new and exciting venture based in a town which has great ambition and drive.

"Bournemouth is moving forwards rapidly and is a growing magnet for tourism, events and entertainment. Canvas wish to ride that wave and have serious ambition themselves to bring quality live music to the area."

Britrox showcases their video show five times a week across several TV platforms including the Sky Showcase Channel  (Sky 261, Freeview 254,  Freesat 402) on Monday 7pm, Wednesday 6pm and Sunday 5.30pm

Canvas in Bournemouth which caters for around 400 people, has already played host to household names such as James Morrison and the James Taylor Quartet.

The first live show of Britrox Presents – Live at Canvas will be tomorrow at Canvas in Poole Hill at 8.30pm. Entry is free. For more information, visit britrox.com
