EMERGENCY services were called to a fire in a Poole flat in the early hours of this morning.
Fire crews, police officers and paramedics rushed to a property in South Haven Close at around 1.40am.
A man was led to safety and taken to hospital as a precaution.
A spokesperson from the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said three engines from Poole and one from Westbourne, as well as a command support vehicle from Hamworthy, were mobilised.
"It was a fire involving cooking in a first floor kitchen," the spokesperson said.
"A person was taken to hospital as a precaution."
