MEET the new ‘kitted and knitted’ crew members of Poole lifeboat station.
The dollies, which were knitted by the U3A ‘fabric and stitch’ group, live on the lifeboats.
They are taken out on a shout if there is a young casualty who needs some extra care to act as a distraction and in some cases they may go home with the casualty to look after them.
Volunteer Coxswain Jonathan Clark said: “The new recruits were knitted by some lovely clever ladies.
“Each one is different and will certainly be a great asset to have on board the lifeboat and will give some comfort to a child when they most need it.
“We are very grateful to the ladies and thank them for their hard work.”
