Police have released a CCTV image of a man they need help to identify after an elderly woman was grabbed as she walked through Old Town in Poole.
The victim, who is in her 90s, was walking into Levet's Lane at around 2pm on Tuesday when the man grabbed her around the shoulders from behind before running away toward St James' Church in Church Street.
The woman was shaken but not physically injured.
Police are now calling for anyone with information about the assault to come forward.
The offender is described as approximately five feet eight inches tall, of slim build and was wearing dark clothing.
Detective Constable Nicky McGhee, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I would urge anyone who knows this man to please contact Dorset Police immediately.
“Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team will be carrying out high-visibility patrols in the area to reassure the community.”
