COFFEE lovers are invited to don their “dopest threads” and take part in a Christchurch company’s latest music video.

Jimmy’s Iced Coffee are taking over the O2 Academy in Bournemouth today and are looking for at least 200 extras over the age of 18 to star in their brand new rap.

Last year, the company celebrated four years of trading with a three and half minute music video inspired by its slogan and hashtag, ‘keep your chin up’.

Starring founder Jim Cregan, it featured 100 friends and a policeman and was shot at a variety of locations including Boscombe Pier, Hengistbury Head, and the company’s headquarters in Airfield Road.

The video went viral, gaining over one million hits on YouTube, and was awarded Best Marketing Campaign in the World Dairy Innovation Awards 2016.

This year, Jimmy’s Iced Coffee is aiming to produce a “bigger and better” music video entitled ‘Who Got the Beans?’.

The song will reveal Jimmy’s journey and show off the Dorset coast once again with scenes shot along Bournemouth seafront. Brogan Mooney, digital marketing manager, said the theme of the music video would be an “unapologetic expression of positivity” and “how to follow your dreams”.

“To continue the legacy of the last video, we’re creating a new video with a slightly different style to the last one.

“Jimmy’s is all about having fun so we’re hoping for a real buzz, high energy, and lots of people involved with this video.

“We want lots of people to be a part of our nightclub scene – it will be like a gig at the O2 with people rocking out. And we’ll be giving away free Jimmy’s.”

She added: “We’re proud to be from Dorset so we want to do plenty of filming on the beach."

The company is collaborating with Fearlessly Frank for the music video. They have been planning it since last year.

Jim, who is passionate about music, has been fully involved in the writing of the song. He said: “We’re super stoked to be going bigger and better with this one, but we need as many people as possible to make it happen.

Join us at the O2 Academy this Sunday at 5.30pm in your dopest threads to be featured in the video."
