POLICE were called to reports of a stolen car in the early hours of this morning.
Supported by the NPAS Helicopter crew, officers followed and recovered a stolen silver Audi TT in Winton, following a call at 12.35am.
The car was found abandoned and no arrests have been made.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We were called at 12.35am this morning to reports of a stolen vehicle that had a tracker fitted.
“This was in the Ensbury Park area. With the support of the NPAS helicopter, a search was carried out of the area, the vehicle was narrowed down to the Winton area and officers on the ground found it and the vehicle was recovered.
“There was nobody at the vehicle so no arrests have been made yet.”
The vehicle was recovered just before 2am.
