EMERGENCY services were called to an incident at Bournemouth beach last night.
Coastguard, police, ambulance, and an air ambulance were at the scene, near Bournemouth Pier.
Police and Coastguard confirmed they were called at around 7.45pm to assist the ambulance service.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said the incident related to a "general concern for a female's welfare."
The beach was cleared while emergency services dealt with the incident.

"We sent a rapid response vehicle and the Wiltshire air ambulance was called to the scene," she said.
"The patient is in a life threatening condition and will be taken to Royal Bournemouth Hospital."
