EMERGENCY services were called after a train hit a bike left on the level crossing at Poole last night.
Network Rail said all trains between Bournemouth and Wareham were unable to run following the incident at Poole around 11pm.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said they were called by Network Rail at 11.03pm.
"20 people on board a train had to be taken off after a push bike left on the track had been hit by the train", a police spokesperson said.
"No-one was hurt."
Dorset Fire and Rescue were called to the incident as well.
The line was reopened around 2.30am.
