IT was twenty years when Tony Blair was yanked over outside the Bournemouth International Centre and his head fell off!

But it wasn’t the actual Prime Minister, it was an effigy on display during the Dorset Stop The War Coalition march.

The protest took place on October 3, 2003, while the Labour Party Conference was in town.

Veteran politician Tony Benn, who said he left Parliament to spend more time in politics, joined the march.

These pictures were taken during the demonstration, one of the many staged for various causes during that year’s conference.
