THE CHRISTMAS spirit will soon be in full flow at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest.

The country park will open its Christmas tree shop from Saturday, November 25.

Visitors will find a wide range of British grown fir and spruce trees in all shapes and sizes.

Forestry England’s experts will be on hand to help pick out the perfect tree and give tips on how to look after it over the festive period.

Parking is free for those buying a tree.

At weekends, people can also shop from a collection of local stall holders selling handmade Christmas goods and treats while enjoying music performed by local Christmas choirs.

There will also be a Christmas quiz trail and visitors can enjoy a Christmas-themed breakfast and other refreshments in the Seasons café.

Other activities include a pantomime with a special interactive performance of Robin Hood on December 18.

There is also an eco-wreath making class using foraged natural foliage and winter treasures from the forest to make your very own unique creation. Pre-booking is essential.

Melanie Keddie, marketing manager for Forestry England at Moors Valley, said: “There’s so much on offer this Christmas at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest.

"It’s a really special place to come with the family to pick the perfect Christmas tree and enjoy spending time in our very own forest winter wonderland.”

The park is open every day over the festive period, apart from Christmas Day.
