PIRATES, dancers, drummers, and unicorns were among a large number of performers at the 52nd annual Broadstone Christmas Parade.
Hundreds gathered to watch the spectacular event unfold with entries from Broadstone Cubs, Hillbourne Primary School, Broadstone Brownies, and Santa’s Springdale Cooks to name a few.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service also decorated one of its fire engines with tinsel and joyful Christmas lights as part of the parade.
Father Christmas was seen on a Thomas the Tank Engine train waving at the crowd as he travelled along the street.
The streets were lined with smiley faces and iconic costumes to celebrate the festive event.
A returning fan favourite was the iconic steam engine finale to round off the parade.
A few Christmas Grinches were also spotted at the event, luckily not causing trouble but instead helping with donations for the parade.
During the day, Christmas market stalls were dotted along Broadstone High Street selling items from dog clothing to cupcakes.
Donations were also taken for Corfe Mullen FoodBank, with Father Christmas himself taking collections to help the charity.
Emergency services were on hand to assist and speak to families.
Road closures were put in place during the parade to maintain the safety of those involved.
The parade took place in Broadstone on December 2.
