NOEL Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have announced a second date in Dorset next month.

The band will play Bournemouth’s 02 Academy on Monday, March 18.

The show, which forms part of a series of warm-up gigs, will take place the day after the band’s sold-out appearance at Poole’s Lighthouse on Sunday, March 17.

Tickets for the Bournemouth 02 Academy show go on sale at 9am on Thursday, February 22.

The announcement arrives ahead of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ massive summer touring plans.

Headlining both Kendall Calling and Y Not Festival in August, Noel will also perform huge outdoor headline gigs at Wigan’s Robin Park, London’s Alexandra Palace Park, Warwick Castle Cardiff Castle and The Piece Hall at Halifax.

Fans can look forward to sets including a wide selection of Oasis classics, as well as a cross section of material from the past dozen years of Noel Gallagher’s highly successful career as a solo artist with his band, the High Flying Birds.

The newly announced shows will mark Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ first live performances after their run of UK arena dates in December.

Council Skies, the band's fourth studio album, has been widely regarded by fans and media as Noel’s most complete solo statement to date.

The album includes Open The Door, See What You Find, Pretty Boy, Easy Now and recent single We’re Gonna Get There In The End.
