THE council will be able to close roads and ban parking on a host of roads across Bournemouth and Poole on the busiest days this summer.
As part of the summer seafront traffic management for this year, the council has issued a temporary traffic order.
From May 4, the council will be able to enforce restrictions on roads ‘when it is anticipated that visitor numbers are such that associated traffic poses a danger to the public’.
When enacted, the flyover along Bath Road and Exeter Road will be closed, from the Bath Hill Roundabout to the BIC Roundabout.
Sea Road, from The Marina junction to Boscombe Pier Approach will also be closed.
Parking will not be allowed on nine roads in Bournemouth and Poole at any time, and vehicles will not be allowed to wait or unload/load at any time, except for authorised vehicles.
These roads are:
