MORE than 70 bags of cannabis were found and an arrest was made after a police chase in the town centre.
Bournemouth residents looked in shock after police officers chased a man who fled from his car that was stashed with drugs.
After searching and catching the suspect, over 70 mini bags containing cannabis were found in the vehicle.
The incident happened on Thursday, April 18.
A spokesperson for Bournemouth Police said: “Bournemouth's neighbourhood enforcement officers sprang into action today, halting a vehicle in Bournemouth town where a male suspect attempted to flee after being intercepted by the police.
“The individual was swiftly apprehended and arrested on suspicion of possessing Class B drugs with intent to supply.
“Officers have seized a significant quantity of cannabis found within the vehicle.
“Dorset Police have zero tolerance for the distribution of illegal drugs.”
