Unless you either
a) live under a rock (not a bad choice)
b) don't play Call of Duty (like me)
c) don't play games (thanks for reading by the way)
d) own a Wii (there's something for you)
You shall be very aware of nothing else being release this week.

If you're thinking of running down to GAME right now to pick up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, that's not a great idea as (unless they break street date) it actually isn't out until Tuesday. Midnight launches will of course be happening.

Our man inside can confirm a recent drop containing a healthy amount of copies so if you have preordered it's always worth phoning or popping in to confirm your preorder. However if you preordered online chances are you may already be playing your copy.

I'm not going to talk about Modern Warfare 2. I don't need to, everybody else is doing that fairly well enough. If you have a 360 then you can grab some avatar gear and gamerpics in the meantime. If you have a PS3 then there are some themes coming out. If you have a Wii there is this lovely Toy Story gun you can buy.

While I may be wasting my time lets have a quick run down of this week's top five: 1) Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: 360, PS3, PC
2) Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time: PS3
3) Ghostbusters: 360
4) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Reflex: Wii
5) Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - The Ultimate Sith Edition: 360, PS3

Can anything possibly save the sales of these other details. I actually feel rather sorry for Ratchet & Clank as this is the only real title being released (along with Dragon Age) that doesn't deserve to be released on a week like this. Unless you're pretty well off and don't actually have a career (or life) you are not going to be buying and playing both titles this week. There are some who will buy Ratchet instead of COD, but these people probably don't realise what they're missing or are 12 years old. Or both.

Ghostbusters. Anyone who really really wanted this game would have picked it up when it came out in the USA earlier this year. Yes this title was granted exclusivity to the PlayStation for several months in Europe, which gave the publisher in the USA a very good reason not to region lock the 360 version. Still now consider it if you want to save a few pounds, just go on eBay and pick up the american version cheaper!

Call of Duty on the Wii is making up for the lack of decent titles on the console at this end of the year. It's going to be a terrible christmas for the Wii with only Super Mario to save it. This is a much needed title to bring some sort of grown up experience out of the still so very much unused, misunderstood and poorly promoted consoles of the generation. I was trying to figure out some sort of Duran Duran joke to fill this space to fit in with the subtitle 'Reflex' but I don't think I can. I'm a failure. Today.

Star Wars? Why has this even been released this week? It's a good stocking filler and should drop in price further before christmas. It's just the original game on the first disc with the downloadable content on the second disc with some more stuff. The extra stuff just carries on this theoretical story about the apprentice going off to popular Star Wars destinations and messing up the story we love. Let's all go to Hoth and kill Luke. Want to save some money? Don't buy it and draw it on some paper instead.

Enjoy Call of Duty, keep pressing those buttons Wii owners: To infinity and beyond
