BOSS Steve Cuss felt perfect timing had played its part in unbeaten Wimborne Town’s 3-0 triumph over Sholing last night.

Sam Griffin opened the scoring four minutes before half-time with George Webb doubling the lead straight after the restart. Jamie Davidson wrapped up the points on 68 minutes.

Cuss said: “Getting the goals when we did gave us the security to control the game. It was a good performance.”

Elsewhere in Southern South & West, Bashley bagged their first point with a 1-1 draw against Cinderford Town.

Shivan Roushbaiani gave Bash the lead with 20 minutes to play but his goal was immediately cancelled out by George Lloyd.

  • Midfielder Dan Blackburn bagged his first senior hat-trick as Hamworthy United twice battled back from behind to beat Lymington Town 4-2 in the Wessex Premier.

Karl Yelland’s 10th-minute strike was sandwiched by goals from Lymo’s Sam Alexander-Floyd and Jack Odam before Blackburn intervened.

Goals from Diane Bassiriki and Liam Jacobs saw Bournemouth Poppies twice claw back deficits in a 2-2 draw with Brockenhurst at Victoria Park.
