BOURNEMOUTH succumbed 43-22 despite a gutsy effort against National Three South West leaders Redingensians.
The hosts held a 15-3 lead at half-time thanks to tries from Gus Davies, Olly Poole and Tom Bryson.
Lewis Dennett kicked Lions' only points of the first period with a late penalty.
After the restart Joe Rees went over for Bournemouth but Luke Flower and Davies replied for Redingensians, the latter completing his hat-trick with two efforts.
Replacement Sam Palmer reduced the visitors' arrears with a converted try, only for Redingensians' replacement lock Ian Black to do the same at the other end.
A late converted score by Connor Scott proved only a consolation for the visitors.
