WORLD champion Scott Mitchell added another trophy to his burgeoning collection with victory alongside Martin Atkins in the Dutch Open pairs tonight.
Mitchell and 49-year-old Yorkshire thrower Atkins overcame home double-act Daniël Brouwer and Leroy Nieuwenhuis 5-1 in Assen in the north of Holland.
The singles kicks off tomorrow with 2,482 men and 266 women participating.
The latter stages of the singles tournament will be televised by Dutch broadcaster RTV Drenthe on Sunday.
