BOSS Eddie Howe humoured reporters during his post-match press conference following Cherries’ midweek win over Wolves.
Howe admitted telling a little white lie after being asked whether he looked at the fixture list and tried to predict results.
“The minute you start doing that is the minute you start going mad and playing tricks with yourself,” he replied.
“I don’t look at games like that. I know the next game but would struggle to tell you who we were playing after Fulham.
“For us, the focus changes straight away from one game to the next. You will watch a team countless times in preparation before you play them and to look too far ahead would drain you and waste energy.
"Our focus now turns to Fulham. I do know who we are playing after Fulham and I am telling a lie! But you get my drift. It is very much a case of working towards the next game.”
Asked whether it would be different if Cherries were preparing to face Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United, Howe quipped: “I am not going to answer that, I would be setting myself up for a fall!”
