HIGHLY-rated Leeds United teenager Lewis Cook is the latest player to have been linked with Cherries.
The Daily Express claims Cherries will “place an opening bid of £10million” for the midfielder “although that fee is likely to rise”.
Cook made his breakthrough last season and starred as Leeds did the double over Cherries, winning 3-1 at Dean Court in September and 1-0 at Elland Road in January.
The Express also suggests Eddie Howe is “preparing to spend big in January”, something the Cherries boss has already refuted.
In an interview with the Daily Echo, Howe said he would have a “small amount” to spend in the transfer window and said he would not risk the club’s financial future on a quick fix.
England under-19 international Cook, a product of the youth ranks at Leeds, is also rumoured to be a target for Cherries’ Premier League rivals Stoke and Liverpool.
