WILSON Carvalho’s second-half strike consigned Poole Town to only their fourth Southern League Premier Division defeat of the season at Kettering Town.
The former Corby Town winger, described as a “nemesis” by Dolphins boss Tom Killick in the build up, struck in the 64th minute of the 1-0 setback at Latimer Park.
Poole remain eight points clear at the summit but second-placed Leamington, in FA Trophy action today, have two games in hand.

Christchurch fared better in Division One, winning 2-0 at Romsey, but New Milton suffered another setback, losing 2-1 at home to Alton Town.
Ringwood progressed in the Wessex League Cup courtesy of a 2-0 triumph at AFC Stoneham.
In rugby union, Bournemouth suffered a narrow 15-14 defeat at Ivybridge with Grant Hancox missing a penalty late on.
