CHERRIES midfielder Andrew Surman has become the first player this season in the Premier League to run more than 300 kilometres.

Surman reached the milestone during Cherries’ 2-0 defeat by Arsenal at Vitality Stadium on Sunday.

The 29-year-old is one of three Cherries players in the top-10 of Premier League endurance men, alongside team-mates Matt Ritchie (seventh) and Dan Gosling (ninth).

Surman, who has clocked 303.85km in Cherries’ 25 league games this season, leads the way ahead of Everton’s Gareth Barry who is second with 297.64km.

Statistics provided by the EA Sports Player Performance Index show Eddie Howe’s team to be one of the hardest working in the top flight with Ritchie (268.71 km) and Gosling (267.91 km) also having put in the hard yards.

Meanwhile, Cherries' FA Cup fifth round clash against Everton on Saturday, February 20 will kick off at 5.15pm and is being screened live by the BBC.

All available tickets for Cherries’ trip to Watford later this month have been issued. Eddie Howe's men visit Vicarage Road on Saturday, February 27.
