GREAT Britain boss Alun Rossiter insisted he was 100 per cent certain he had made the right decision to call up Adam Ellis for Speedway World Cup final duty.
Ellis was named as Team GB's under-21 reserve rider for Saturday's showpiece event at Belle Vue, the home nation aiming for their first medal since 2006.
Pirates star Ellis yesterday took part in a practice session at the National Speedway Stadium alongside team-mates Craig Cook and Danny King.
And having witnessed the Ringwood-based charger in action, Rossiter was in buoyant mood over his selection verdict.
Rossiter told the Daily Echo: "I'm convinced I've made the right decision. Adam looked very good on the bike and was very at ease.
"I think he deserves his place and I'm comfortable with the decision I've made.
"It was close between him and Josh Bates but it's all about opinions and having watched him ride today, I'm 100 per cent convinced it was the right decision."
Joining Ellis, Cook and King in Great Britain's line-up will be world champion Tai Woffinden and King's Lynn's Robert Lambert.
