ANDONI Iraola feels his side’s improved physical condition has helped Cherries deal with games in quick succession ahead of AFC Bournemouth’s final midweek game of the season.

After facing Aston Villa on Sunday, Cherries return to the Midlands tomorrow to face Wolverhampton Wanderers (7.45pm).

In the Premier League this season Cherries are unbeaten in midweek fixtures, having won four and drawn the other.

But at the start of the campaign Iraola revealed he had doubts over the ability of some of his players to feature in multiple games a week.

He told the Daily Echo: “I think some players have improved because I remember first weeks of the season when we play three games - I remember the names and I said, ‘you cannot still deal with three games this week.’

“The third game he plays, performance goes a little bit lower.

“But I think with the maturity, with the experience, with probably better physical condition, I think we've been dealing better.

“It’s the last time we have this issue, let's say, and I hope we finish well.

“It's true that especially in some positions now, with the wingers, for example, we don't have so many, so many choices.

“But I hope now that Antoine can recover and can help this week.

“And we can also use other players outside.”
