AMATEUR star Georgia Hall will tomorrow aim to shake up her professional rivals once more when the Women’s British Open gets under way at Royal Birkdale.

The Parkstone golfer, who finished tied-33rd in last week’s European Masters at Buckinghamshire Golf Club, will be keen to follow up her success in the Open 12 months ago.

Then 17, Hall was the joint-leading amateur alongside New Zealand’s Lydia Ko, although a mistake by event organisers meant she missed the prize-giving ceremony.

The Women’s British Open features the top players from round the globe including defending champion Stacy Lewis, US Women’s Open winner Michelle Wie and South Korea’s world number three Inbee Park.

Hall, one of five amateurs in the field, is due to tee off at 7.47am alongside Shanshan Feng and Christina Kim.
