GEORGIA Hall's New Zealand Open campaign came to a premature end as she missed the cut on the Ladies' European Tour for the first time as a professional.

The Bournemouth ace did not miss a single cut in her rookie year on tour and started 2016 in the finest possible style with victory in the Victorian Open in Australia, which secured the biggest payday of her career.

But the 19-year-old did not find her best form at Clearwater Golf Club in Christchurch, firing rounds of 75 and 77 to finish on eight-over-par. World number one Lydia Ko eventually triumphed on 10-under.

Former Oakmead College pupil Hall's stay in New Zealand ended in worrying circumstances when her downtime was interrupted by an earthquake.

She tweeted: "Just had a earthquake in NZ while doing some shopping, had to run out with everyone screaming, most scary experience ever."

Hall had been due to journey across the Tasman Sea ahead of the Women's Australian Open, a tournament she qualified for as a result of winning the Victorian Open.

The Dorset star is due to tee it up at Grange Golf Club in Adelaide on Thursday.
