BOURNEMOUTH'S Georgia Hall has seen a possible route into the US Women's Open blocked – after she applied too late to enter qualifying.
The window was opened for entries while the 20-year-old was mid-round at the World Ladies' Championship in China in March.
And despite submitting her application at the earliest opportunity, the ex-Canford Kid was informed no further places were available.
Hall took part in last year's US Open after Se Ri Pak withdrew, the Dorset star first in line having missed out in a play-off in qualifying at Buckinghamshire Golf Club.
But a similar route will not be available to Europe's former number one amateur this time.
Hall told the Daily Echo: “I was playing in China when the entries opened, it was during the round. I went to enter later but apparently it was first come, first served.
"It doesn't matter how good you are, whoever enters before you gets in, which I don't really agree with."
Hall is primed to begin her campaign at the Buick Championship at Shanghai Qizhong Garden Golf in China.
The former Curtis Cup ace looks set to tee off either late this evening or in the early hours of tomorrow morning (BST).
