HAYLEY Davis banked her biggest cash prize yet on the Symetra Tour when she competed in the Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic.

Ferndown Golf Club's Davis finished tied for 33rd at Brook-Lea Country Club in Rochester, New York.

The Wallisdown and Wimborne-raised professional fired 76, 72, 71 and 70 to finish one over par, securing her just over £1,100.

The Philippines' Clariss Guce secured her first Symetra title on 11-under, scooping around £23,000 for her efforts.

She saw off the United States's Ally McDonald and Germany's Sophia Popov by a single shot.

At a more recent tournament, the Firekeepers Casino Hotel Championship, Davis experienced tougher fortunes.

She carded rounds of 75 and 73 at Battle Creek Country Club, Michigan and therefore missed the cut on four over par.

Davis enjoyed her best finish on the Symetra Tour at the recent Tullymore Classic at the start of July, where she tied for 23rd.

The former Canford Kid shot a superb 68, her best round on tour this year, as part of her impressive run in Canadian Lakes, Michigan.

The Symetra Tour is a feeder circuit to the LPGA Tour, on which the Dorset ace hopes to compete.

Davis is a close ally of Georgia Hall, who is poised to take part in the Women's British Open this week.
